The Partnership

Seven months ago an old friend of mine, Andrew Devereux, was in town.  Andrew is a consultant-gambler-frequent traveler, and I never know where or when he might turn up.

Most players don’t think of playing craps online.  Some craps bets can’t be properly made online.  And online craps games don’t offer the variety of play found in land-based casinos.  However, it is easy to make the even-money bets of pass line and don’t pass online.  As a Devereux System these bets are very profitable.

Ed W. elected to play craps online.  He had always wanted to learn the game and he quickly volunteered to test the Devereux System against online craps.

She called herself the “two hour a day girl.”  She would play one hour in the morning before going to work and another hour before going to bed at night.

She quickly moved her betting up from $1 to $2, $3, $5 and so on.  She called me before she moved up to $25 betting.

“Do you think I should try betting at this level?  It seems kind of high.”

I reviewed her score keeping with her.

“Why don’t you try $25 betting but limit yourself to one losing game for every $3,000 you make.

“How will that work?”

“It’s an old trick I have used before.  You start out playing by telling yourself that if you lose a game you will immediately drop back to lower level betting, say $15 betting.  Then you move up in steps.  If you have made at least $3,000 before you lose a game, you stay at the $25 betting level.  After that you move up in $3,000 increments.  So long as you have added at least $3,000 between losses you can continue to make $25 bets.  If you even lose one game before you have added another layer of $3,000 in profits you drop back.

She agreed to try it.  She emailed me six days later.

“I have been making $25 bets for six days now with no losses.  I am sticking with the two-hour a day plan.   In six days I have made $22,536.  That works out to making $3,756 a day.  I think this is pretty good.  What do you think?”

I emailed her back –

Ed N. retired to Henderson, Nevada, five years ago.  He hates what he calls the “home building crash” has done to Las Vegas, but he finds gambling a couple of times a week is just as enjoyable as ever.
