When I first heard of Formula 57 being used to win at blackjack it seemed pretty far-fetched.

After all, blackjack is a complicated game.   Even learning to play the game is complex.

The idea of a formula that would beat the game just didn’t seem possible.

That was my attitude five months ago.  Since then I have experienced the power of using Formula 57 to play blackjack and I am a believer!

“I started out by learning everything I could about the game and about systems that had been developed to win at blackjack.”

I interjected.  “Did you take a look at any of our systems? Several of them are pretty solid performers.

“I did and I was influenced by your systems and your philosophy.  However, I wanted to develop a system that would keep the bets small and still be able to win.”

Intrigued, I responded, “That’s my goal as well.  However, sometimes you just have to bet larger in order overcome losing streaks.

“That’s true to a point.  However, I developed a different way of doing it . . .

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and it certainly helped me understand Formula 57.

Formula 57 divides blackjack into bet ranges.  Then it applies a betting formula based on the 5-7 principles to determine the bets.

Once they showed me how to make the bets and determine the betting range, I caught on very quickly.

After playing in practice mode for about ten minutes I was ready to test the formula against real play.

I logged on an online casino where I have an account.  I activated their blackjack game and began playing blackjack using the Formula. 

I had been playing about fifteen minutes when I decided to take a break. At this point I had won $576 making $10 bets.

I asked them,  “I seem to be winning really fast. Is this about normal?”

Alan smiled.  “You are right on target.  Play for an hour at this level and you’ll make $2,000 or more.

My Next Move Was to Test the System In Land-Based Play

After the meeting I had made up my mind to test this system in land-based play.  Russ and Alan were strictly online players and hadn’t tried the formula in a land-based game.

I am still fairly traditional and I like to play in real casinos.  I decided to try the system at the Golden Nuggets’ eight-deck game.  This is considered a hard game to beat and I thought it would be a good test for Formula 57.

I bought in for $1,000 and started making $25 bets.  I took a break 55 minutes after I started with a win of $1,368.  I walked back to the Carson Street Café and had a cup of coffee.  After my break I decided to see just how good this formula was.

I bought in for $2,000 and made $50 bets.  In less than twenty minutes I had won another $1,000.   I moved up to making $75 bet and next $100 bets.

I continued to play, moving up my bet size as I won more and more.  My winnings continued to pile up.

By the time I decided to take a break four and a half hours after I had started play, I was making $200 bets and I had won $18,879!

Let me repeat this in case you missed the key points here.

I started out with a $1,000 buy-in. 

Then I moved up my bet levels as the formula locked up more and more winnings.

By the time I decided to take a break, I had won $18,879 using a $1,000 bankroll!

You may not want to escalate your bets as fast as I did

And, you may start at a lower level.  To make $5 bets you only need a $200 buy-in.

However, you have to agree that this system really performed in its first assault on a land-based game!

The New Formula 57 Test Team

I contacted Russ and Alan with my discovery of Formula 57’s performance at the Golden Nugget.

Alan was skeptical.  “Do you really think the Formula will work in land-based games?”

I responded.   “I think so.  We would need to play a lot more games under different rules and different circumstances, but based on what I’ve seen the Formula should work just fine in land-based casinos.”

The Revenge of the Turtles

Alan and Russ know a lot of computer types.  Once I gave them some ideas on how to test land-based games they rounded up a group of people willing to test the system.

They asked if I would meet with the group and give them a pep talk  that got down to the basics of play.

Alan set up a meeting in a hotel meeting room.  When I walked in I felt like I had invaded a convention of techies.

I was dressed casually but this group was dressed not just sloppily but cluelessly.

Mismatching pants and shirts were a group standard and a large number of them really did wear large geeky looking glasses.  I whispered to Alan,  “These guys look like the pictures taken of Bill Gates back in 1975.  The rest of them look like they shop exclusively at second hand clothes stores.”

Alan laughed.  “Yeah, but they are smart.”

Alan led off with a talk about blackjack and how Formula 57 worked.  Some of the geeks seemed really interested, others seemed bored.  Several were pecking away on their cell phones while Alan talked.

Before I got up to speak I thought about what would motivate them.  I knew I couldn’t compete with Alan’s ability to speak the jargon so I decided on a different approach.

Several geeks looked up from their cell phones.

I told them about my afternoon at the Golden Nugget.  By the time I got finished I had their attention.

“Maybe.  But, I think down deep they are motivated by the chance to make money fast and furiously!

He signed.  “I think you are right.  We might as well show them how to do it.”

And, thus the team of blackjack playing techies went forth.  And, win they did!

Techies Win 34 to 1!

We organized the Revenge of the Turtles (their name for themselves) so that they would play blackjack in a number of settings.

Some played in Las Vegas.

Others in Reno and Laughlin, Nevada.

Some played in California Native American casinos.

Others in Arizona.  And New Mexico.

Two members played in Iowa.  And one in Missouri.

One played in Detroit.  And another in New Orleans.

We had two players in Minnesota.  One in Wisconsin.

There were two Mississippi players.

And three in Atlantic City.

We had two players in London.

In short we did a pretty good job of covering the game of blackjack.

Some players played against two-deck hand held games in Las Vegas.

Many played against 6 and 8-deck games.

The Turtles played against games dealt by continuous shuffling machines.

And, they played against games with lousy 6 to 5 payoffs for blackjacks.

And, to keep the test valid, some players played online.

In short, our Turtles covered the world of blackjack.

And, when we tallied all of their play we found their win rate was 34 winning sessions to every losing one. 

Alan said, “34 to 1.  I like those numbers.”

Brian’s Las Vegas Adventure

Brian S. played blackjack in downtown Las Vegas against 8-deck games dealt from continuous shuffling machines.  He was paid the correct 3 to 2 on blackjacks, but other than that he was up against a very tough game.

“I started out as a $5 bettor.  The game was dealt pretty fast and at first I had a hard time keeping up.  I moved to a table which had more players and the game slowed down enough that it was easier to play.

“I played about six hours my first day and won $1,112.  By that time I was feeling more confident in my play.  That night I met with two other Turtles and compared notes.  I was lagging the other two but I decided not to let it bother me. 

“The next day I moved up to $10 bets and changed casinos.  I got a six-deck game and then I had no problem keeping up with the play.  I mostly played one-on-one against the dealers which helped my win rate.  I only played five hours but I won $2,693.  I almost lost one game, but the formula made the right adjustments and pulled me through.”

“By the second day I was ahead of one Turtle and still behind the leader.  However, I wasn’t too concerned.  The purpose of our play was to give the system a real shakedown.  The next day I was scheduled to play against a hand held game in a local’s casino.  With a bankroll of almost $3,000 I decided to move up to $25 bets and see what happened.

“I knew as a $25 bettor I could win some serious money.  I broke the day into three three-hour sessions.   I ended up winning $13,891 for the day.  From here on I felt anything was possible."

Brian played in Las Vegas casinos for two weeks.  He continued to change casinos to vary the games he had to play against.  By the time he was finished, he was making $100 bets and winning over $5,000 an hour. 

Brian won $39,892 for his work.  I asked him what he thought about using Formula 57 against the games of Las Vegas.

“I played against all kinds of games here.  You guys even put me in some fairly rough joints.  (Sorry about that, but we had to know.)

The last time I checked Brian was up over $240,000 wining over $8,000 a day.

Chris’s Journey to the Casinos of New Mexico

Chris had only been to New Mexico once on a cross-country trip with his family when he was young.

“All I remember is that it was really dry,” He said.

Chris was assigned to play blackjack in three casinos in the Albuquerque area.  Each of the casinos dealt Las Vegas style blackjack using multiple decks dealt from either shoes or continuous shuffling machines.

Chris was free to play where he chose because the games were similar enough that he didn’t have any assigned locations.

Chris started out as a $5 bettor at Sandia Casino.

“I really like this casino.  It is nicer than many casinos in Las Vegas and it has a really interesting atmosphere with the Indian designs.

“I started out as a $5 bettor.  The dealer was kind of quiet but I didn’t have any problems.

“I changed tables a couple of times just to experience different dealers.  And, I kept careful records of my play.”

I asked him how he did. 

“I won $1,480 the first day and $1,678 and second day.”

“You were making $5 bets at this time, right?”

“Yeah.  On the third day I jumped to $10 bets and then I moved up $5 a jump after that.  I played one day with $10 bets, two days with $15 bets, one day with $20 bets and then I reached $25 betting.

“I really like playing at the $25 level.  I average making between $1,200 and $1,400 an hour.”

“In fact you never moved beyond $25 betting did you?”

“Nah.  Like I said I like it at this level.  I tried $50 betting one day and I felt like the pit boss was watching me.  That’s when I decided that $25 play is just fine for me.”

Chris played a month in Albuquerque in three different Native American casinos.  He won $64,590 which I pointed out was not too bad for a $25 bettor.

Tessie In Tunica

Tessie got to try out the casinos in the Tunica, Mississippi area.

“I had a really amazing experience playing in Mississippi.  I have lived in Memphis, Tennessee, about thirty minutes away and I never really appreciated the casinos before.  This was my first time to stay in one of these casinos and I really had a good time.”

“Tell me about the blackjack.  How did you do?”

“I started out playing in Sam’s Town where I was staying. I was really slow. When I first started the dealer was really patient with me.  I had to look at the strategy card quite a bit at first and no one seemed to mind.”

“I started out with $5 bets and it was actually the dealer who suggested I move up to making $10 bets.  At this level I was winning over $500 an hour and it felt really good.”

“How long did you stay at the $10 level?” I asked.

“Just one day.  As my winnings grew I wanted to move up to making $25 bets as soon as I could.

“By the end of my first week I was making $25 bets.  At this level I was averaging making over $1,300 an hour."

“Did you stay at that level for a while?”

“No.  I wanted to go all the way with the Formula.  I moved up to $50, then $75 and finally $100 bets.”

“So you are now a $100 bettor?” I asked.

“I guess I am.  What do you call someone who makes $250 bets?"
