We met the next day. Sandia Casino, like most Native American casinos only offers the American double-zero version of roulette.  While I would have preferred playing on a single-zero wheel which offers better odds to the player, you have to accept what you have so I sat down to play.

I exchanged cash for chips. I checked the overhead board for the last three roulette decisions. That was all I needed to know to set up the Heisenberg Bets.  I lost one round, reset the bets and then won.

I started out making $3 bets and keeping track of my winnings by setting up a win stack of chips. The system worked flawlessly.  If I didn’t win in a predetermined number of spins I would adjust my Bet Set Up and continue playing until I had a win.

The watch was a elderly Native American, probably on the governing counsel of Sandia Pueblo.  He did not look very happy. 

I stood next to L.R. and bumped into him. He just nodded and said something unintelligible. Finally I leaned over him and said, “Time to go. Now!”

He seemed to come out of his daze.  He looked at me, looked at the tribal elder and told the dealer, “Color me up.”

We walked over to the cashier. On the walk over I reminded him that Sandia Pueblo was a law into itself.  “You remember the million dollar slot win last year that they refused to pay?  They could just as easily declare that you were playing on a biased wheel and seize your chips.”

He looked incredulous. “No way. They can’t do that.”

I Tried the Heisenberg Progression in an Online Casino . . .

Since L.R. was the day’s winner I told him he could treat us to dinner. I had made reservations at Giada inside the Cromwell. Giada offers award winning Italian cuisine.  At L.R.’s request we were seated in the lounge which boasts breathtaking views of the Bellagio’s fountains and Caesars Palace.

We ordered the chicken cacciatore which was very good and planned the rest of the trip.

The next day would be busy.  The morning was free.  We could do some sightseeing.  I suggest to L.R. that he try the monorail which offers a bird’s eye view of the entire Las Vegas Strip.

We met at 1:00 PM and headed for Mandalay Bay.


 

We Travel to Mandalay Bay to Pick Up the Pace.

Mandalay Bay is located way south of Tropicana on Las Vegas Blvd. The closest major property is the Luxor.  I wouldn’t have picked a casino so far away except that I wanted a chance to try out their roulette tables with limits from $3 to $3,000.  Tables allowing this betting range would be perfect for the Heisenberg Progression.

We turned our car over to valet parking and walked into the casino.  If you haven’t been to this place it is huge.  We walked through the casino.  I took the $3 wheel and L.R. headed for a $10 minimum table.

The plan was to start out with $8 bets, check how we were doing and then move up to $10 betting if everything was okay.

I bought in and was greeted by a very friendly dealer about thirty-five years old with close cropped reddish hair and a big smile.

I had a different dealer this time who was efficient and not very talkative. I had to remind myself that I wasn’t here to have fun. I was here to make money!

I reminded them that we had a full day planned.  I left them there planning.  I gave L.R. the redemption slip for valet parking and I took a cab back to The Cromwell.

Morning at the Monte Carlo!

Karen met us for breakfast and we planned the day. We decided to start the day at the Monte Carlo. Once again it was the bet range of $3 to $3,000 which attracted me to playing there, as the property itself is just an average Strip casino.

The Monte Carlo had three roulette tables open when we arrived. We split up with each of us going our separate ways.  The plan this morning was to start with $15 bets, play about an hour and then regroup.

Take Down at the Mirage

Our final afternoon of play was fairly relaxed. We walked from The Cromwell to the Mirage which was a treat for Karen and L.R.  It was a nice day for a walk with the temperature in the mid eighties and I think I enjoyed it almost as much as they did.

We got to Mirage and divided up.  L.R. and Karen would play in the main casino and I would play in the high-bet limit area.

The plan was simple – We would start out at the $25 betting level, meet and then decide what to do for the final session.

In the High-Limit area I made a beeline to the European single-zero wheel.  I bought in and started playing. The dealer was an attractive blonde who knew more about Las Vegas than anyone I have ever met. She had been dealing for over twenty-five years and told stories about everyone from Howard Hughes to Bugsy Siegel.

Besides keeping me entertained she was an excellent dealer – fast and precise. It wasn’t long before we worked out a routine and just like clockwork every fifteen minutes or so I slid a $25 chip over to her side of the table.  She gave me classy nod and then continued with one of her stories.

I checked my watch and saw that an hour had passed.  I had a nice stack of $100 and $500 chips in front of me. I colored up and walked out $5,414 ahead.

I found L.R. and Karen downstairs.  We headed to the coffee shop to see how we had fared.

L.R had won $4,893 and Karen had won $5,381. We agreed to jump up to $50 base bets for the final session.

I returned to the same wheel and took up where I had left off.  Before I started playing I glanced at my Cheat Sheet for $50 betting.  Liz, my chatty dealer, picked up where we had left off with the story of when Howard Hughes moved into the Desert Inn.
